Albert R. Kislan Jr., 60, of Hazle Township passed away Monday at Hazleton General Hospital.

Born in Eckley, he was the son of the late Albert and Verna (Kozel) Kislan Sr.

He attended Foster Township High School and, before retiring in 2004, he worked as a mechanic for the Hazleton Area School District for 30 years. He most recently worked with his son at Kislan's Trucking and Excavation.

Al was a member of the Eckley Social and Sports Club, the Hazleton Owls Rod and Gun Club, Citizens Fire Co. No. 1, Weatherly, as a social member, Nesquehoning VFW Memorial Post 8008 as a social member, the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club and Most Precious Blood Church.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, the former Mary Ann Farnish; his son, Albert R. III and Chrissie; grandchildren, Jonathan, Albert (AJ) IV, Christal and Molly; sister-in-law, Josephine Bogansky and and her husband, Lawrence; two nieces, one great-niece and great-nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from Fierro Funeral Home, 26 W. Second St., Hazleton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at MPB Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
